Hi, yes, this is Jemma Salume/Oxboxer, yes, this is my DA account, yes I've deleted absolutely everything on it. I'd previously thought to leave my gallery up as an archive after I'd largely moved on to other sites. Recent changes introduced by DA have convinced me they are not fit stewards for such archives. And so: I'm out. If any of you dear followers of mine are still active and would like to follow me and my art elsewhere, here's my Linktree. You can subscribe to it to be notified of new platforms I join or projects I'm involved with. This has to be one of the biggest lacks in communication I've seen on a site like this, and still cannot tell what is up from down.

I will not be posting art on Deviantart anymore until further notice. I have enough issues posting cease and desist notices on sites that blatantly steal and try (and succeed) profiting on my years of hard work.

We have information on one end talking about and ease in further thefts. Other side saying DA is trying to further prevent said theft. There was a serious lack in communication, and right now until things cool off a bit I am going to take a hiatus from posting for a time. Perhaps it was time to start fresh and reorganize anyway. I don't know. Countless users like myself deleted their galleries fearing our work would be yet more prone to theft than usual. Be it the case or not, I am taking a hiatus regardless.

The internet age has continued to make it harder and harder for artists like us to protect our work. Thieves have always been out there, but the rise of the internet age has made it all the easier for thefts. As an artist I am feeling more at a loss than usual. I'd already been having my work profited off and this recent panic and scramble has me feeling more discouraged than usual.

Moving on, now a watchers account

Looking into some other platforms, you will find my current contact info on my main page as well as at the end of this. I'll edit once I have more to add. I've been a member since the launch of DA back in 2000. 22 years, between this account and my old (and long gone) one. There has been a lot over the years that I've been noticing and not liking. There has been a steady decline in my ability to make funds on here, less people coming to my page even when I would post. I had started getting incredibly tired and disgusted with DA ever since the MASSIVE rise in unfiltered fetish, and heavily NSFW art on here. I am an artist, I have an appreciation for the human form as a complex living and breathing entity, so drawn in artistic or passionate ways has never bothered me. But the seriously heavy things, seeming to be posted simply because of how lude artists could make them, has been on the rise. The skyrocketing of extreme fetish art, unfiltered, as it shows up even with your SFW
